Courtyard at Vatican Museum
Each hall was as ornate and beautiful as the next. They had a hall with tapestries most made in the 14th and 15th century. In one of the halls they had what appeared to be frescos that appeared as if they were inset into the wall. Our guide told us to lean back against the wall and look up and when you did you could see the wall was flat rather than being inset. You had to almost do that to believe it was just painted in such a way to appear as it did. Once we finished touring the Vatican Museum we found our way to the Sistene Chapel which I was really looking forward to. |
