Ward Family Vacations

Italy 2001

Padua

We left Florence on Wednesday morning on our way to Venice.  I was really looking forward to that, but on our way we stopped in Padua to see St. Anthony's Cathedral.  The city is quite beautiful with a central, large round piazza.

It was a little overcast, but the church was ornate and beautiful as all the churches in Italy were.  This church was built in three stages from 1238 and completed in 1310 and houses the tomb of St. Anthony.
