New Zealand 2005 Huka Falls |
||||||||
The same day we went to Taupo we
went to Huka Falls New Zealand's most visited natural attraction. More than
220,000 litres of water tumble over the cliff face per second! The
Huka Falls are the largest falls on the Waikato River, near Taupo on New
Zealand's North Island. The Waikato river is one of New Zealand's longest
rivers and it drains Lake Taupo - the largest freshwater lake in all of
Australasia. We went to Wairakei Tourist Park where there are some fantastic vantage points to see the falls. The water is so clear and an unbelievably beautiful turquoise blue color.
