Welcome to the Ward Family Page!
I
have been asked for pictures from different trips we have taken and have posted
them in so many different places, even I have trouble keeping up with
them. I finally decided to put them all in one place in an effort to
organize the trip scrapbooks that I make so that everyone can enjoy!
Germany
2000 — Jessica had the opportunity to go
to Germany during the summer and left for Berlin in May. She was very
excited as many of our family immigrated from Germany and also was going to get
to see the Passion Play in Oberamagau that is performed every ten years.
This Passion Play was first performed in 1634 by the town who swore an oath to
perform the "Suffering, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ" after
the Black Plague haunted their town. This play is performed with the
Bavarian Alps as the background and was last performed in 2000 for the 40th
time and is scheduled for 2010. |

Italy
2001 —
Jessica and I took a trip to Italy in March 2001 during Jessica's
spring break from school. We left on Friday, March 9th and arrived
home the next Saturday, March 17th. Jessica only had to take one day off
from school. We think a house in Vicksburg being 200 years old is a big |
deal. It is hard to believe the history that is centered within
large cities in Italy are thousands of years old. |
France
2002 - Dennis was approached by a group of men from Faith Baptist
Church in Starkville, Mississippi to go on a mission
trip. Their destination was the Eglise Protestante
Evangelique church in Savigney le Tempe, a bedroom community
of
Paris. This church of approximately 125
members was the only Christian church in this suburb of
approximately 80,000 people. |

New
Zealand 2005 - On August 12, 2005 I left for New Zealand as I had not
seen Jessica since she had moved to New Zealand and married in
2003. It had been three years since I saw my son-in-law and I
thought enough is enough! So I bit the bullet, scheduled my
vacation and bought my tickets.

New
Zealand 2007 - Both the kids had a graduation trip and since Bryan went
straight from High School graduation to the local Community
College, we put his trip off for a year (plus he was only 17 when
he graduated). In July of 2007 he left for the trip of a
lifetime to see his sister and brother-in-law in New Zealand. |
